Caramelized Onions & Mushroom Matzo Pizza

This is my World Famous in My House Matzo Pizza. I caramelized some onions that became part of the base for the sauce for the pizza. The sauce was a fire roasted tomato and garlic sauce. You don't get thin crust pizza kosher for Passover any better than this. The onions were layered on top of the sauce, under the cheese. Baby bellas were broken up and placed on top. The plain cheese was for Brice. Later this week I might do some basil and tomato pizza's or spinach, mushroom and feta.

Dinner at Parma

McWilliams Shiraz, Mac & Cheese, Mista Salad and Roasted Portobello
Sandwich... followed by wine tasting! (Unfortunately, there were no
pics of the wine tasting. I can tell you that it was great though!)

Overall... Fantastic!

Passover Traditional Food - Matzo Brei

There are many different ways to make a matzo brei, but there is no better way than the way I was taught by my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. The way we make it in our family is a 4 step process. Step 1: You wet the matzo and then break it into pieces. Step 2: Beat some eggs and coat the matzo. Step 3: Cook in the pan like you are scrambling eggs. You can also cook it as one giant piece like an omelette. Sometimes I will cook it this way, but most often I do it a little of both methods. Step 4: Plate and serve with either syrup or preserves. I usually go for the preserves and tonight it was kosher for passover cherry preserves. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Chik-fil-A Lunch

Southwest Chargrilled Salad with Spicy Dressing

All of the salads offered at Chik-fil-A are great and this one was no
exception.

Snack: Homemade chicken salad on matzo

Decided to use some of the leftover breasts that were used to make chicken stock for chicken salad. A nice afternoon snack on a piece of matzo.

Chicken marinated in ginger dressing and a stalk of broccoli

Matzo Ball Soup

Leftovers for lunch don't get much better than this. Matzo ball soup...heavy on the chicken.

chicken salad

lettuce and chicken and tomatoes and a kalamata olive and some greek dressing and that's it.

Passover Sedar at our house...

We had a little bit of everything tonight, minus the bread, grains, and anything with corn syrup. The first picture is of the sedar plate with each item in its appropriate spot. This was also the first opportunity for us to use our fine china that we got almost 3 years ago for our wedding. Some of the typical Passover desserts we had were macaroons, flourless chocolate brownies, and jellied fruit slices. We also had some fresh fruit and I made some homemade whipped cream to go onto of said fruit. Food wise we had gefilte fish, matzo ball soup, chicken, brisket, veggies, and potatoes. Plenty of matzo was eaten as well, and will be for the next 7 days.

Six Pence Pub - Savannah, GA

This place is located on Bull St and is easily located by the red British style telephone booth out front. One reason this place is famous is because part of the Julia Roberts movie, "Something to Talk About", was filmed there. I left my phone at home, so I had to opt for a stock photo here of the French Onion Soup. I got the half sandwich and soup combo. The sandwich part was just corned beef on pumpernickle. http://www.sixpencepub.com/

Chicken Parm from Carrabba's Italian Grill

You can't spell Carrabba's without carbs! This was my last bread heavy meal before Passover, so I loaded up. The fresh bread and spice mixture with the olive oil is always top notch. The ceasar salad was decent. The chicken parm, I split it with Brice, was as good as always. Good enough that I made a happy plate!

Homemade fish tacos

Made these over the weekend. pan-blackened tilapia, broccoli slaw tossed with citrus juice, a little oil, and a few spices, simple sauce made with sour cream, cilantro, tomatillo salsa and avocado, all on a couple of corn tortillas. Good stuff, and surprisingly simple to make.

Brisket and green beans

Some au jus on top and a little scalloped potatoes on the side. It was all very bangin.

"Polish" Dinner

Picked up some authentic Polish sausage from Polish Smoked Meats in Suwanee yesterday. Adam's Garlic Sausage (right) and Kielbasa served with braised red cabbage and roasted potatoes. I like the Kielbasa a bit better-better consistency-smoky flavor of both is very nice.

Shrimp & Beer

One of my favorite places to eat... Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe in
Clearwater Beach, FL.

The Diner @ Sugar Hill

This has become one of my favorite places to eat in the Sugar Hill/Buford/Suwanee area. I would call it upscale diner fare (I think there is actually a chef in the kitchen)..I've tried the burger, a couple of the chicken dishes and pot roast from the traditional diner menu..Tonight I tried out the the ribeye..it was pretty good. The wild mushroom bordelaise sauce served with it was awesome. Garlic green beans and a baked potato were the sides and they always give you the killer bread you can dip in the olive oil/balsamic/herb combo. Haven't tried their breakfast yet but that is on the list.

Forsyth Park Cafe' - The Fort Burger...

Decided to once again hit up the all new Forsyth Park Cafe' today. We actually went to the park so Brice could play for a while, but it was just cold enough to drive us back into the cafe'. Once in there I made the executive decision to get the Fort Burger and fries. I must say...that was a tasty burger. Nice touch putting the provolone cheese on both sides of the burger. Threw in another pic of the extra large condiments packages. Gotta love condiments!

Breakfast of Champions

The preserves are from The @LovelessCafe in Nashville, TN. I decided to try the peach preserves on a fresh bagel and it was excellent. My wife and I split the cheese omelette and it was as perfect as always.

Skipper's Fish Fry

Poor picture for the awesomeness of the food. Fried oyster/shrimp platter with fries and slaw.
No grease whatsoever...don't know how they do it but it is unreal. Huge portions also.
